YouTube and Instagram Influencers
This may seem counter intuitive but people with small followings have high engagement. It could be because they know their followers better. So YouTube and Instagram influencers with more followers have less engagement with content; comment, share, like, etc. There is a lot of debate and theory on this. The point to be taken from this argument is that, though influencer marketing brings infinite creativity to the promotion of products and services, there will never be any line drawn where brands cease to recruit people with any sort of following on social media and beyond.
We are all subject to being promoters of brands. I’ve even found with my personal Instagram how easy it is to post mentions about brands. Also, It’s almost a way of gloating and letting your friends and family know what you’re doing. Like I’m eating peanut butter and jelly with Skippy peanut butter or whatever.
Perhaps we will have to escape to the non-digital, real world to avoid any mentions of brands, products, or services. That is impossible.
