  • Proper use of H1 & H2 tags

Now, more than ever in the past, Google is cracking down on websites that do not prioritize their content. What this means for you is that your website should be focusing on answering frequently Google’d questions in your niche via blogs and other informational material (Kind of how we are right now on the blog you happen to be reading).

In addition, all content should use proper grammar and word usage in the language for your anticipated audience. Outsourcing content creation from individuals who do not fluently read and write that language is a great way to get ranked down for the creation of subpar content.

Also, as mentioned above. When creating content, make sure that you are supplying the demand. You can access a plethora of keyword data research and analytics through Google’s keyword planner in Google AdWords. Do not skip this step. Thoroughly research what is trending and you will have a better chance of making it to spot one page one Google.

#3. Backlinks & Notoriety

Ever heard the saying “You’re only as good as the company you keep”? Well, it’s true – even in the case of Google. If you have other websites with poor content and low rankings linking back to your website or content, you will inherently also have low ranking attributes.

On the other hand, if you are endorsed by notable publications and websites with premium content – you will be associated as so. When allowing others to link to your domain, content or website, be very picky in your standards. It will quite literally make you or break you. With brings us to our next point; backlinks.

We’re not going to go too much into backlinks because we have beaten them to death in our other backlink articles. Just remember that all backlinks are not created equal, you should never pay for them and superior content will earn you backlinks from other websites naturally without effort.

Blacklinking strategies should be sought with extreme caution. Done correctly they will help boost your rankings to page one Google.

#4. Be Consistent

In our experience, a lot of websites fizzle out or do not reach page one Google because of their inconsistency. It’s important to update your website two to three times weekly with blogs or new information that specifically pertains to your niche and/or business.

Your priority and number one job is to make Google believe that you are the authority. That your website contains all subjects and information worthy of organic search criteria and live humans would prefer to use your platform over other websites.

If you can’t accomplish this, then you will not be awarded spot one page one Google. Becoming the best takes time, patience and a positive attitude but always remember – “If you are not first, you are last!”
